In Each Of The Corners Of The Shield Are Four Bunches Of Grapes (Possibly Representing The Important Port & Wine Trade). Above The Shield Is A Silver Mural Crown With Five Towers. Below The Shield And To The Sides Of The Shield Is A Scroll Reading "Cidade Do Funchal" Translated "City Of Funchal".
